Celebration of the Spanish Armed Forces Day in Washington D.C.
The Spanish Armed Forces Day (FAS) was celebrated in the former residence of the Ambassador of Spain in Washington DC on May 30. The Spanish Ambassador, Santiago Cabanas, thanked the attendees for their presence and underlined the affection of the Spanish people for their FAS, and their gratitude for the impeccable accomplishment of the entrusted missions.
The Spanish Defense Attaché, GB Jesús Armisén, made a compendium of the tasks carried out by the FAS overseas, contributing to materialize Spain's commitment to international security and stability, highlighting the special bilateral relationship with the USA.. He finished his speech with the traditional toast to the first soldier of Spain, H.M.the King.
