Recently, the first aerial refueling from an 11th Wing's C-16 Eurofighter and an USMC KC-130-J tanker aircraft was executed.

Wing 11 is in full preparation for evaluating 111 Squadron's operational capabilities (CAPEVAL ESPAF), which will take place next October. As part of this preparation, and given the excellent relations between the Forces of both countries, the coincidence of having the American tankers also deployed at Moron Air Base as part of the SPMAGTF-CR-AF (Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Africa Crisis Response) is taken advantage of.

These missions show very positive aspects: they reflect speed in processing relevant procedures and approvals; and they also demonstrate interoperability of weapon systems between allied countries, as well as between different Armed Forces components, highlighting the integration and certification of the Eurofighter's operational capabilities.

These aerial refueling missions will continue to be scheduled regularly, and will also be extended to other units and aircraft of our Air Force in the forerseeable future.
