During Training Exercises
Green Berets from the Spanish Army impressed the Pentagon's Special Operations Commander, whose command include the Navy SEALs and the Delta Forces, among others. General Joseph L. Votel visited the special forces of the Spanish Army at Rabasa in Alicante, to witness a training exercise.
While visiting Spain last June, the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Chief viewed this exercise and watched closely how efficient the Spanish Army Green Berets operate.
The Rabasa base barracks had been scheduled for an assault exercise, in which terrorists would hold several hostages.
The exercise developed fast and accurately, and General Votel congratulated the Spaniard Special Operations Commanders in charge, who were also present during the drill.
