The liaison officer of the Spanish Army Training and Doctrine Command to the US Combined Arms Center (CAC) has presented the book “George Washington y España. El Legado del Ejército Español en los Estados Unidos de América” to the commander of CAC

The liaison officer of the Spanish Army Training and Doctrine Command (MADOC) to the US Combined Arms Center (CAC) has presented the book “George Washington y España. El Legado del Ejército Español en los Estados Unidos de América” to the commander of CAC.

The commander of CAC, Lieutenant General James E. Rainey, has received a copy recalling the contribution of the Spanish Armed Forces to the independence of the United States.

The Spanish Army MADOC has a liaison officer (OFEN) assigned at the CAC, Fort Leavenworth (Kansas). His main task is to facilitate the exchange of information and contribute to the strengthening of the relationship that both Armies have maintained for many years.

As part of this exchange, on November 23, the MADOC OFEN delivered a copy of the book “George Washington y España. El Legado del Ejército Español en los Estados Unidos de América” to the commander of CAC, who confesses to being a passionate reader of military history. The book is a project of the association The Legacy, which has had the support of the Spanish Ministry of Defense in its writing and publication, thus contributing to spread the knowledge of the inheritance left by Spain in the United States.
