The Ambassador of Spain in Washington DC, HE. Mr. Santiago Cabanas Ansorena, is invited to the Military Academy of West Point, NY, to give a lecture. Accompanied by the Defense and Military Attachées, and escorted by the Officer that the Spanish Army maintains in the aforementioned Academy, he also met with Lieutenant General Williams, Superintendent of the center, and other Academy authorities.
In an auditorium with more than one hundred cadets, the Ambassador presented the Spanish perspective of the relations between the two countries, both historical and current, highlighting the importance of the support provided by Spain to the 13 colonies during the War of Independence.
