On June 15th , the Embassy of Spain in Washington D.C. celebrated the Spanish Armed Forces Day.
Counselor Minister, Cristina Fraile, an Brigadier General Jesús Armisén, Defence Attaché, hosted a reception and remarked in their welcome words USA/Spain friendship and cooperation in pursuing common values, rooted deep in history, since Spain is present in North American territory ever after the continent was discovered by Christopher Columbus.
Looking out into the future, Spain remains committed to work and share with its allies the common endeavour to preserve and enhance the principles of freedom, democracy, human rights and respect for what is enshrined in the UN Charter and international laws, conventions and agreements.
