Military Emergencies Unit (UME) will conduct in Seville exercise Gamma Sur 2016 between April 4 and 8, 2016.
This is a seismic emergency drill of national interest, Level 3, the highest level, and will involve about 3,500 personnel, among civilian and military, of the local, regional, national and international emergency and security services.
In the exercise, a major earthquake shakes Sevilla with replica in Ceuta causing injuries to people, creating landslides and other damages of various kinds that will validate or improve emergency plans. In addition to the participation of members of the Security Forces, Civil Protection, Regional Government of Andalusia and Autonomous City of Ceuta personnel, non-governmenta organizations and strategic enterprises, will also count with the cooperation of our neighboring countries, Morocco, France and Portugal.
