After the results obtained in the previous two editions in Washington DC, the Third Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) meeting was held at the  Astrobiological Center  headquarters (CAB), a subsidiary  entity of the Instituto Nacional de Tecnica Aeroespacial (INTA), associated with NASA, in Torrejon de Ardoz, on March 15th. This meeting was focused at Spanish Defense companies that wish to market their products with the US Department of Defense.

There were representatives of the General Directorate of Armament and Material on behalf of the Ministry of Defense, of INTA and the Defense Attaché Office of the Spanish Embassy in Washington DC. From the US Department of Defense, members of the FCT Office and representatives of the US Army, US Navy, US Air Force and Special Operations Command attended the event.

Companies that were present were DAS PHOTONIC, AEROSERTEC, GMV, SHS Consultores, ITP, AERNOVA, INDRA, SCR, ETB S.L., ARPA and SIMSPACE Ingeniería S.L. Their products were previously selected by the Pentagon, considering that they satisfy the triple condition of being innovative, offer high performance technology and fulfill US military specifications in a quick or economic way.

Major General Garcia Montano opened the "FCT Spain 16" and the participant companies made brief descriptions of their products. There were one on one working sessions, so each one could explain to each Army the detail and excellence of their offerings.

The conference was highly praised by the companies, which also valued the initiative for being held in Spain. "I think this is the best FCT bilateral edition that has been done in my office," Colonel Scott Wallace USAF, said.

The US delegation took advantage of the trip to Spain to see in situ installations of DAS PHOTONIC in Valencia. A representative of the GRAPHENANO company, in Yecla, also went to Valencia to present the development of their applications based on graphene.
