Paratrooper Brigade "Almogavares" VI participates in the largest deployment exercise in the last 25 years
From 18 August to 13 September 2015, forces of Light Infantry Parachute Brigade "Almogavares" VI (BRIPAC) are participating in the "Swift Response 2015" exercise, in training camps in Germany, Bulgaria, Italy and Romania.
"Swift Response" is the largest multinational exercise of airborne forces that has taken place since the end of the Cold War. It is led by the US Army in Europe (USAREUR) and paratrooper forces of 11 NATO nations participate, Spain among them.
Prior to this multinational exercise, last May BRIPAC organized the exercise "Lone Paratrooper" at the site of the Air Academy "Virgen del Camino", which was rated one of the largest multinational parachute infiltration exercises, also attended, among others, by members of the USMC.
