NDIA Defense Industry Day
NDIA Defense Industry Day

The U.S. and Spain have maintained a very fruitful and positive relationship for decades. The collaboration between the two countries reflects a strong commitment to successfully working together to develop state-of-the-art technologies in the Defense and Security Industry sectors.

As part of the commitment to peace and security, Spain and the U.S. have structured bilateral agreements and exchange training programs based upon sound international acquisition and cooperation that have strengthened military capabilities.

With today's rapidly growing threats, our strong alliance has been critical to ensure peace and stability. Our troops have served jointly a number of scenarios, and are still deployed in the hottest points all over the world working for the maintenance of peace and freedom.

Under this scenario, the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), Spanish Association of Defense, Aeronautics, Security and Space Technology Companies (TEDAE), the Armament and Materiel Directorate of the Spanish MoD, the Joint Technological Center and the Spanish Defense Cooperation Attaché Office are collectively hosting the first “U.S.-Spanish Defense Industry Day” at the Former Ambassador´s Residence in Washington, D.C.

Representatives from the Spanish Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as experts and industry representatives from both countries, will examine new cooperative opportunities and provide an overview of industrial capabilities. The Joint Technological Center, under the Spanish MOD, was recently established to coordinate all of the R&D centers in Spain in an effort to make a better use of technological efforts and budgets. The industry day will be an outstanding platform for industry and government officials to identify and discuss new opportunities and areas of cooperation.

In the course of the event, NDIA and TEDAE will officially sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote broader cooperation and exchange of information between both associations for the benefit of their member companies.

Spanish companies wishing to participate at a preferential rate ($150) must send this form once completed to Ms. Kimberly Williams at kwilliams@ndia.org
