Spanish Navy Infantry ends its participation in Bold Alligator exercise in the USA

The exercise took place at the United States East Coast along more than 1.600 km. scenario

For the second consecutive year, Spain will participate in the "Bold Alligator” (BA14) exercise, from October 29th to November 8th.

This year a Spanish Infantry Regiment of almost one hundred marines of the 6th Company Second Landing Battalion and Medic Company from the Combat Support Service Group, embarked with Dutch, British and Canadian forces in HMNLS “Johan de Witt”, will participate in three levels of command organization: the Expeditionary Brigade (MEB), the Amphibious Task Force (CATF)/ Landing Force (CLF), and the Spanish-Canadian battalion.
Exercise objectives will include the revitalization of amphibious expeditionary tactics, techniques and procedures, as well as the strengthening of operations from the sea and will focus on six core capabilities of the maritime strategy: forward presence, deterrence, sea control, power projection, maritime security, and humanitarian assistance/disaster response.
The force will joint at Norfolk (VA) for pre-sail conferences before starting coastal and at sea activities from Virginia to North of Florida. The Netherlands Navy ship HMNLS “Johan de Witt” will pay a visit to New York before returning to Europe.
