The Minister of Defense, Pedro Morenés, visits the U. S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) at MacDill AFB in Tampa (Florida).
The Minister of Defense, Pedro Morenés, visited today the U. S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) at MacDill AFB in Tampa (Florida).
Through U. S. military authorities Mr. Morenés became familiar with operations in which U. S. and Spanish Armed Forces are participants.
He received a briefing by the second commander of the Special Operations Command, VADM. Sean A. Pybus, and later proceeded to the Central Command where the second commander gave a presentation on the ongoing operations.
The U. S. military officers gave Pedro Morenés an overview of their respective commands´ operations and areas of responsibility.
Likewise, the Minister of Defense took the opportunity during his visit to Tampa to visit the Spanish military personnel on duty.
Tomorrow the Spanish Minister of Defense will meet at the Pentagon with Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel.
