Their Majesties King Felipe and Queen Letizia will visit New York to attend the 2014 Climate summit and the 69th UN General Assembly opening session to be held on September 23rd and 24th respectively. King Felipe will be present in both events.
Their Majesties Kings went to the United Nations building to attend the 2014 Climate summit opening session, which aim is being a public stage for -top leaders of UN membership countries, financial institutions, Companies, civil society and communities from public and private institutions- to increase the number of actions in order to reduce gas emissions, and encourage politicians to reach a worldwide juridical agreement NLT 2015 to try to limit the earth´s temperature rising less than 2 degrees.
The 2014 Climate summit is intended to discuss actions and solutions from National governments in coordination with private institutions and the civil society to increase achievements which helps to reduce gas emissions, and to promote resilience like the energy ones, short term climate contaminants, cities and transportation, sustainable agriculture, the reduction of natural disasters, climate related funding and factors which boost economy. Nowadays world countries are discussing a new climate agreement and a new worldwide guideline of sustainable development. Those agreements are to be concluded along 2015.
These goals are intended to be an unprecedented chance to promote the sustainable development.
