On July 31 the Air Attaché, Colonel Fulgencio Saura, and the Defense Cooperation Attaché, Colonel Jose Noval, ended their respective tours of duty in the Office of the Defense Attaché.
During his three years in Washington, DC, Colonel Saura, among other achievements, has managed to improve the relations between the U. S. and the Spanish Air Forces, being the point of contact in the United States with the Spanish Air Force.
Colonel Noval has made a great contribution in getting the U. S. DoD authorities in Acquisition, Logistics and Technology to know and become aware of the capabilities of the Spanish defense companies.
Their replacements, Colonel Juan Martin-Albo and Colonel Angel Rodriguez, respectively, are well prepared and aware of the challenges they face in order to move forward with the already initiated projects, and to strengthen the existing good relations with their U. S. counterparts.
